Exclusive Linkin Park Forums Interview with Holly Brook

1. As a kid did you play any instruments? If so what did you play?
I grew up playing mostly piano, then guitar, then dulcimer.
2. Growing up was there a certain artist that influenced you to get into music? If so who?
I've always loved Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, and the like. It was when I got deep into music that I discovered my idol, Joni Mitchell.
3. As a teenager you dropped out of high school to follow your musical passion, what was this like for you?
It was best move I have ever made. I have learned more useful information in the past few years than I ever learned in school.
4. As stated in your online biography it says quote “Brad Delson, loved Holly’s demo and offered her a deal with the groups label machine shop recordings” what was this like for you?
It was great, I felt like I had overcome one more step in my career. But trust me, there is still a whole staircase waiting for me up ahead.
5. Before Fort Minor had you had anything to do with Mike or Linkin Park?
Well, yeah because I was signed to their label for a while before I even heard about FM.
6. What was the experience of working with Mike like for you?

7. How many songs are you featured in on the rising tied?
One on the main album and two for the extra juicy version.
8. Can you give us some hints on what the song that you are featured in is like?
Have patience my dear.
9. What are your hopes for the Fort Minor US tour? On the Fort Minor US Tour do you guys think you will come up to Canada and down to Mexico for any shows?
I don't think I'll be involved in the Fort Minor tours...except maybe on occasion. I'll be touring to promote my own record!!
10. Has a release date been set for your upcoming album Like Blood, Like Honey?
Not yet, but there are 5 songs from the album you can download on itunes now!
11. For your upcoming album like blood, like honey is Mike or any other the guys from Linkin Park Featured on any tracks?
Yeah, Rob plays the spoons and brad does a wicked guitar solo with his teeth. Ok maybe not.
12. What are your hopes for this album and what do you hope to get out of it?
I already got the two things I wanted from it. 1-a great experience, 2-a piece of work to really be proud of.
13. Have you ever visited Linkinparkforums.com? if so what did you think of it?
I haven't, what is it?
