.. then you're not doing it right. all brushes from 4+ are compatible with higher versions. it's just, that cs2 brushes aren't compatible with cs and 7 and soforth.

well, the sets worked, but there were a few brushes in the sets that didnt show

CS and CS2 are EXTREMELY similar... all they did was add a few things... The price to upgrade... was extremely too high! Actually.. ALL Adobe products cost way too much.

Did you make sure that the brushes were in the right folder? Cause it has to be in the right folder to work without manually loading it.
