meh, i think it's kinda dumb and pointless (no offense) to make a linkin park forum, and then ask people from a different linkin park forum to join. you're basically going to have the same members as the board you asked people to join.. because a) your members will be coming from there, unless you get friends to join and whatnot and b) if new people wanna find a linkinpark forum, they'll end up finding LPF before your place, hence keeping your new member flow strictly from here. try doing a board for.. oranges or something, something that's not the same as here, then try it out eh.

I'm going to say what I would've said to anyone doing this:
The concept of making a Linkin Park forum is a bit over used. I mean, I'm a member of 3-4 I think, and I only go to two of them regularly.
I mean, people don't join a million forums all on the same topic.
Like Hyper said, try oranges or something that's not common.

The only hope of launching a new LP fan forum and it succeding is by offering something new, ur forum aint doing that. The are TONNES of LP Forums (including myn) and its getting very crowded, I joined late and found it hard to hit the 150member mark and dont know if it will attract many more members.
Your forum has nothin new to it so troubles may be slightly higher in number for u but good luck non the less.

Oh yeah I knew I forgot something.
You can pull it off, if you offer a fresh perspective, just like Stenners said.
A good example is actually Stenners site

If a forum about oranges comes about, please let me know:)
Aw, no link. I didn't have a chance to check it out, but I find it hard to keep up with 2 LP forums let alone others! I'm too unactive and lazy! Maybe you could put the link in your sig if you still want people to join. I agree you should offer something new and unique that differs your LP Forum from the 353453534534 ones already out there :) Well good luck with it!

Ok i put the link i my signature like you said. i'm not really expecting this to get real big or anything, it was just somehting i ran across looking for something else, i thought it would be fun thing to do in my spare time, and maybe a fun challenge to get people to join. but yea, any advice you all have to offer is fine by me  i'm not quite sure i understood the oranges thing, but my forum is extremely new, i'll probably change things about it still.
@Hahninator: yeah you can help with that :D
and yeah sorry, i bet people who advertise their websites and stuff can get annoying
wish me luck
