Simple Plans want to work with LP

Wesley from Linkin Park Brazil reports that Simple Plan was in Brazil on September 18 for a concert and played a little bit of "Izzo/In The End". Later in an interview with MTV Brazil they were asked if there's a band that they would like to work with and they said, "We would love to play with Linkin Park. We would like to do a tour, Weezer, No Doubt, Linkin Park and Simple Plan, it will be very cool. Of course we would be the headliner."

Wish I had a recording of that lol :)

Also, I don't really like Simple Plan's music, at all.

It's nice of them to say good things about LP, but I for myself would definately not attend a show where LP would support SP. There are some bands you just don't support, if you are LP.

but who knows.... we'll have to listen to them before judging... some notes might be changed after alll it is a cover version.

That is sweet of them to mention, however, I don't think it'd be a good match. The style of music is so different. Plus, Chester said he doesn't like that kind of music. I also don't think they could perform that song very well, but who knows? I like Simple Plan but I don't think LP should tour with them.

All those bands mentioned on that "Future Tour" are all shit. They are just the stereotypical great music of today on all those fagot Mix Stations. If they have that tour I will do anything in my power too get LP off of it.

When I go to a concert, would I rather listen to five bands that sound like Linkin Park? No. That'd be lame. A change in genres would be awesome. I mean Simple Plan is a good band. You may not like it but the majority of people do. The reason they are played so much on radio is not becuase it's a biased radio station choice it's becuase people vote for it. As far as I'm concerned LP fans have no room to say Simple Plan sucks. Simple Plan doesnt take like 3 to 4 years to put out a new album. They've stayed in the public eye never falling off. Linkin Park, well they put out another remixed album, and mike has been getting a little recognition. I didn't see any LP videos on TRL constanly. No Doubt and SP usually are whenever theres a new video. Shit and no doubt has been around forever still putting out hits.(Well, not currently But Gwen is.) Weezer, well they suck, but No Doubt and Simple Plan are just as good as Linkin Park. They've accomplished just as much as Linkin Park if not more. So as far as I'm concerned a Linkin Park fan saying Simple Plan sucks is like a gay guy telling a wide reciever he sucks.

The Fort Minor Boards are full of those people. I stay away from the LPMB and FMMB because of all the n00bs that go there.

Anyways, both of those bands are pop bands and I'm not fond of them at all.
Their guitarists aren't as good as Brad. Their drummers aren't as good as Rob. Their bassists aren't as good as Phi. Their DJs can't even compete with Hahn. I doubt they even have emcees, and CERTAINLY NONE of their singers can even come CLOSE to Chester Bennington.

I like the fact that they think LP is good. But that tour would never work out because a ton of LP fans don't like those people. I personally think Simple Plan is ok. I wouldn't go if Evanescence toured with them. Just do Proj Rev again with all the unknown/upcoming bands. LP/Jay, Fort Minor (2nd stage maybe), Snoopy, SOTY, shit like that.

I disagree. I agree that it'd be nice to hear different bands at one concert (although I'm content with just LP), however, I want to hear music SIMILIAR to LP. I'd like to go to a concert and see LP, Mudvayne, System of a Down, etc. I like Simple Plan----not enough to see them in concert though. I don't mind listening to them. If you don't like poppy-rockish music, then you don't have to like it. LP are nu-metal rock/rap. That's totally different than SP. You can't even compare LP and SP. Also, they have NOT accomplished as much as LP at all. Let alone MORE than LP. LP are one of the top selling artists of all time. They're the number one selling artist at Warner Bros. It's obvious who's making it more---Linkin Park---regardless of whether they take 5 years off. :) Of course, that's your opinion and this is mine.

I'm sorta into that whole pop / punk thing, it's just really cheerful and... poppy :) (Stereotype of a teeny bopper lol... I DID listen to them when I was 14, but I didn't know what they looked like at the time >.> I actually don't know what a lot of my favourite bands look like lol, especially if they're an American based one). I can't stand listening to too much metal or rock without the pop. It just evens it all out for me lol.

I agree they're not in the same league as Linkin Park though, but that's because they're not even in the same genre of music so you can't really compare the 2. I definatly wouldn't mind seeing both bands on stage together, I'll be even lucky to just see one of them really >.> Well I still think it's great that other bands that aren't even in the same category as Lp respect them just as much.
