Can't believe someone didn't post this before me.
Anyways, LP has said that Warner has delayed the next album, until Spring 06 (we knew that was the time, but still screw Warner.)
They said that they won't be able to compete as much, because Warner is holding them back.
Warner even lies by saying LP has said false statements, etc.
Check out the full article here (http://www.nme.com/news/linkin-park/19858)
Also, LPU Members can check out a preview of Hahn's next video: The Seed. I'm not ripping it and uploading it because it's in the LPU (I might get in trouble) and you should join to see it anyways.
The preview is awesome. Can't wait till everyone can see it! :)

So that means there won´t be a LP cd in a looooong time??????!!!:confused:I want to listen to LP new stuff.I think they should find another company instead of Warner since they have been morons towards LP:(.
Thanx god FM will be released in November:D

Thats the problem that noone understands - LP cant sign to another company until Warner releases them.

I think it was Linkin Park who decided to hold back the album, not warner. I read it on some site i got an e-mail bout today.

LP was stupid in the first place to freakin' sign that contract lol.
Warner: "just sign here, here, here, here, here, here, here and... HERE AND HERE AND HERE....and here" lol
LP: k whatever *signs and runs off to make Hybrid Theory*

Well I mean I think you would've signed if it was you trying to make LP big. I'm pretty sure their contract is 10 albums. I was wondering if like Reanimation, LIT, CC, FM, etc. are included in that? Or is it just the studio albums. Anyone know?
Hahninator
09-21-2005, 07:17 PM
Reanimation counts. Live in Texas and Collision Course do not.
They've made three: Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and Meteora. The 4th one is under works.
There's no way they can make 10 O_O

They wanted a career in music... lots of people do, and LP has thier own record label who they have people sign. Don't blame LP for Warner bein stupid. Besides, I'm sure there are two sides to this story.

There's prolly like 7 sides :P *wants to hear Joe Hahn's side*
Joe: "yep it's all Mike's fault, you know, the fatass who sat on a table in London and broke it in half"
lmao :P But yeah I guess you can't blame them.

Machine Shop is under Warner, I think. (please correct me if i'm wrong) so that doesn't do anything for them

I fucking hate Warner! I want some new Linkin Park material and they are just pissing off the fans by toying with LP. Just release them already! Screw when the contract expires you jerks.
Well hopefully Spring 2006 comes fast.

it is, but they have alot more control over things than they do while directly signed to warner

LP won't be released from Warner until they've fulfilled their side of the contract, which is the next album (spring 06 right?) + 2 albums more (not 100% sure). LP will be under Warner for at least five years from now I think.

Since they've made 3 albums and the 4th is underway, they have to make 6 more albums (HOLY CRAP)

I already knew that their next album is coming out in spring. It mentioned it in another thread I posted long ago. Well anyways warner is still stupid for doing that. Waiiit they have to make 6 more albums oh em gee.

^Yeah cause their contract was for 10 albums I believe. Wow, I'm starting to realize how much this sucks. Cause if they're having problems right now, it's gonna be horrible in the end. Maybe they can work out a deal to cancel the contract (not sure if possible).

IMO LP should release like a rush of albums so they can break from warner. However, since the previous albums were a year apart, that might degrade their reputation by a bunch.

Just so you know;
Linkin Park CAN NOT leave Warner until the contract is fulfilled. BUT!! Yes, there is a but. BUT, that does not stop them from creating their own label and releasing albums under their own name. Look at Shady Records. Durh. Oh, and I would think that between their tour bus and Mike's basement, they have the equipment to pull it off too.

Yes, they'd lose all respect they had, and hell, they might even lose mine if they did that.
They should not have to release such forced and thereby worse music just cause WB's a bitch.
