Ill prob be hated for sayin this but i dnt particularly care. I agree with them, i was disspointed with the DVD big time, amazin songs, but it wus jus continuous shite video footage. The DVD was a waste of money tbh, i would have rather just bought the CD

that is a terrible review. i thought L.I.T was fuckin sweet and that the quality and energy they put out on stage was awesome. how can you say they lack a life onstange when they have the whole stadium jumping up and down to what they say. That and the fact they had the whole crowd sing two of their songs...yaeh... no stage life whatsoever. and tehy werent even the main act on the tour either.

:twisted: That is some serious shit about L.I.T.. I think Linkin Park is the only band out there right now that can put out a live album and still kick MOTHER FUCKING ASS. For example, everyone seemed to love Evanescence. I liked that song, "Going Under", but I hated it after I heard their SHIT, live. Linkin Park songs are great on CD and fucking awesome live. So, this cock sucker that writes that they're unoriginal and lack certain Live exciting qualities is a son of a bitch. I'd like to see him get up and perform 17 songs without missing a beat! Fuck... Lol peace.

I agree. The DVD was cool and kind of funny. It is definetly different than listening to a CD. The concert is for people who may not get a chance to see them otherwise. Sure, they should have put other stuff on there, but other than that, the writer to that article was just full of sh*t.

I have to say that LP could have added some more stuff to the cd (like more backstage and stuff like atlien said) But it was AWSOME. I sing and perfrom all the time, I know how Lp fells. It's hard to sing three songs and still ahve energy left! Let alone like 15 or 13! I mean, they put on a great show, they sounded awsome, I think the only think they could have worked on was in songs that are layered ( when chester sings sentances that in the CD overlap each other) I think they should spend some time on trying to arange the songs so that instead of them doing it the way they've been doing it (cutting out time and keeping all the words which results in them losing all their breath support, they tired faster, it ends up sounding choppy and it's just plain hard to sing it that way)

for all of you out there you might not like this but i think they should cut out a few words and keep the time they had BEEN cutting out before. Believe it or not, just taking out a few words would make a hell of a difference, and the song would sound smoother.

They did that in REANIMATION. They cut out some words and changed the sentance to where it meant the same thing as they were singing before and replaced it with shorter sentances, and they cut out whole sentances all together, I think that could help them.

I know it sounds like they would be changing the whole song so that it's not even the original, but it probably wouldn't even make a difference, it would still sound great. But as much as all of you are going to hate me for saying this, I think when the guys wrote these songs they really didn't even think about the fact that they would have to perforem them live, cause alot of their songs aren't live concert friendly, but i think that it was an acccident, an that with some more time and planning ahead of time on the band's part their performances could really take off.

This coming from a guy who is a freelance writer for the university of oregon. Obviously, nobody cares about this guy's opinion if that's where his career is at. And he acts like we didn't know that the DVD was filmed at two locations. The bands said so themselves on the DVD and in interviews. Just look at some of his other articles, and youll see what kind of tard this guy is.

You can never count on another person's veiw of something. BEcause I think without a doubt that the writer wasn't an LP fan so therefore didn't see it in a certain light. As a member of my school's newspaper, i CONDEMN that article. It is an opinon peice, not a review of the product. The point of a review is too acknowledge the good and the bad in something, and then come to the logical conclusion of how good/bad it is.T his writer obviously hated LIT. Hated it enough, in fact, to spend a whole article bashing it and giving it hardly any credit. I'm offended as school newspaper writer, and as a fan of LP at this FOOL's excuse for an article.
Though some of his claims have merit (i.e. - lack of backstage stuff, cliqued camera movement, etc.) but that gives no right to bash it as he did. And also, he claims that they spliced togather clips from other concerts. Well moron, the product is called LIVE IN TEXAS, and it is live- IN TEXAS. Attacking LIT in this way shows that he simply felt this mattered, when it doesnt. The title of the product does not, as he implied, mislead consumers. This point is frivolous.
Another time, he says and i quote, "Because this is a concert and not a new studio album, the band plays only old songs, not willing (or possibly able) to dip their toes into some new water for the live experience. " See "or possibly able" in parenthesis? That is a bias statement, which breaks one of the biggest rules of review writing- NO BIAS. And yet again, we see more bias in the statement, "trying their best to look hard-core"
It is terribly obvious this article was written by a half-witted, extremely opinionated snot-head, who hasn't had anywhere near a decent education in journalism. That newspaper's editor should also take part of the blame. Anyone who lets stuff like this pass is obviously attending to many frat parties.
If I learned one thing from reading that article, its this- The UNiversity of Oregon campus newspaper is lacking in talent and education. I also decided that I'd never want to attend a school that lets heinous stuff like this get printed. SHAME ON YOU OREGON UNIVERSITY!!!!!

Those shows wern't exactly peaceful and productive. Did the writer expect to see Linkin Park drunk, stoned and causinig riots?

there is nothing particularly good about the double disc set either.


What is surprising is how poorly such hits as "One Step Closer" have held up, and what this album's set makes most apparent is how similar one Linkin Park song is to the next.

Maybe if the writer listened to the lyrics of One Step closer he'd catch the part "I cannot take this anymore, saying everything I've said before", Linkin Park doesn't want to repeat themselves or anyone else. The songs sound similar because its the sound that the band defined.

Very true, if a writer cant take critisim and deal with it, he wont be able to be that great of a writer. On a lot of the other boards that i used to write for, there were some ppl who made a day outa just ripping other pplz stuff to shreds, but we all learned to deal with it, cuz it's part of life, like, Linkin Park had to learn to live with bad reviews, even tho most of them probably dont have an once of truthfullness (like this review) some things may be true, but its part of life.

As for ur comment dnjski, it unfourtunatly is true, ppl either like a metal bands, or they cant stand them, for some reason this only applys to metal and rap bands... I dont knwo why tho, cause u couldn't appy this rule to hip hop and have it be true... damn hip hop! :evil:
