It has just been announced that Mike Shinoda is going to compose the music for the MTV VMA's. He will be composing the piece with hip hop producer Lil Jon. You heard it first at http://www.lpconnect.co.uk/

Also, for first-time, the VMAs will be scored with original music composed by hip-hop superstar producer Lil Jon and producer Mike Shinoda, of 3x VMA winner Linkin Park, whose side project "Fort Minor" is being released this winter. Viewers will get a chance to download the original music as ringtones exclusively on *MTV on their Virgin Mobile phones.

It'll be great if anybody could get the ringtones when it comes out :thumbsup:

Freakin awesome. I hate Lil Jon, and can't imagine he and Mike being friends but oh well. I'll have to deal with it :P Can't hear what they compose lol. I want some Mike vocals :D

Its cool.. Lil John is good at what he does and Mike is good at what he does.. so it will be cool to see what kinda of stuff the do together.. it should be awesome..

Mike and lil jon are awsum producers...lil jon has been makin the hottest tracks out there right now..and mike is awsum from what he does..I think its a good mix

Its gonna be AWESOME! Like yall said, they are both good at what they do and them doing it together will make it 10X better! Omg I cant wait for the VMAs now!! When is it again??

But what really sucks is that now FM will be coming out in WINTER! Omg thats sooooooo far away!!!! :(

sorry to say that...i hate lil' jon..i don't see him as a superstar...and sorry to say it again but i'm not interested in mike's solo projects
i guess he isn't so dumb to quit linkin park for his solo projects

On topic, I think having Mike produce music for the VMA's was a good idea. I may actually watch the VMA's this year...since a few good bands got nominated.

yes. this info is cool, and i'm really happy top hear that, cuz this means - by that time Mike will finish his project (FOrt Minor: The Rising Tied). and as soon as he finishes it- LINKIN PARK CAN CONTINUE WORKING ON THEIRS!!! HURRAY!!! ;D

I think Fort Minor is allready finished... (HOPE SO!!) He´s gonna start touring on this dates i think... (i hope it´s quick, I WANT A NEW LP ALBUM DESPERATELY!!!!!)
