Help With M2V

on linkin-inside you can download videos but most are now in a format called .m2v

does any1 know wat i need to play these files or if there is a plugin for media player or sumthing

plz help

you need to have powerDVD player or BSplayer

m2v is nothing more than an MPEG-2 file with a different extension. If you can play MPEG 2 files on your computer, you should be able to do so with m2v files. There should be several codecs available, especially for WMP.

Thats what I thought... cuz dosent 'm2v' stand for 'MPEG 2 Video' or somethin like that.... ;)

I believe you're right.

I think you can even change the extension directly to mpg or mpeg without any harm done to the file...
