KK, basically what concert do u think linkin park performed the worst at...?

me i think the acoustic one

Friðbjörn

I'm not saying it sucked, but the performance with Jay-Z from the CC DVD wasn't really that great. Also, parts of RaR 2004 suck, the vocals, that is.
I don't remember any more stuff right now.

i don't see why u made a thread like this but anyway it's pointless to me
but if u would also be a musician ,sometimes u would also play a lil bit wrong
but a good concert means having good instruments a good place where u can sing
so if u don't have a place with good acoustica everything will go down
so....that's it
basicly i think they had good concerts

Yea, the topics don't always have to be praising LP.

Anyways.. I think every concert had it's high and low moments, but there are some songs that I dislike live, i.e. Easier To Run. They can't play that worth shit live, and I'm guessing that's why they never play it anymore. But if I had to pick one, I'd probably say Colorado Springs.. I never really liked that concert.

Yes! There it is. I wanted to say that song, and Hit the Floor also. Then there's of course Forgotten. Smart move by LP not to play these songs much. Finally someone dares say it, ETR usually sucks bad. Well, I've actually got a recording where they do it quite good, but that's the only time of course.

I love the studio recording of ETR but idk about the live version...

Yea I think I know which one you are talking about. On the LPU 4.0 cd, the video footage, they have ETR live and that one really sounded good.

Ive never been to any of their concerts so I couldnt say what ones were bad but I have to agree that the Jay-Z one on the DVD wasnt that good.. I mean I liked it but since I havent really seen any other ones besides Live In Texas Ill have to say the Collision Course one.

I dont really download conerts, but I would have to say my fav song live is apfmh.

Hahninator
05-22-2005, 03:47 PM
ETR and HTF are both sucky songs live...I don't like them live either.

I can't say a certain concert sucks because of the quality of the recording >_<

So I'd say:
San Jose, CA (105's Not So Silent Night, Compaq Center,) 07-12-2001
because of the bad tracklisting of the songs. I would have done it differently, and also it seemed like Chaz and Mike weren't singing well that night.

And yeah its good to critique there concerts. Becuase its not all about LP being good you know...its about ther flaws...im just asking to put what u think there worst performance is...

I agree with almost everyone here, but I'm going to have to agree the most with Treeves here. It's rather ignorant to think that LP are perfect in every way. They're humans, like the rest of us, and make mistakes as such.
Like, I'm not saying ETR is a bad song, but you just can't do it live. Just like OSC will never be as good live as it is studio. It's just too tiring to sing it for instance.
Also, SIB isn't that great, the guitar never comes out good enough live.

no,i didn't hear it
but u know what, everyone has their bad moments when the things he does just don't sound the way he wants to
for a concert to be good u need a good vocalist, good instruments,a good place where u're gonna sing,a good syncrone and many more things so...the humans make mistake so it's human for even lp to sing bad for different reasons

Easier to run sucks live and Hit the floor too.
I don't like new With you after releasing Meteora (Brad don't play natural harmonics in verses anymore). 2000 year concerts were bad cuz they didn't play songs well.

and Chester can't scream that loud on Crawling, With you or One step closer anymore..like his voice has gone softer

Im suprised they dont do nobodys listening live more, it actually sounds really good comming out live.

The best songs they do live are: High Voltage, In The End, Papercut, P5hing Me A*ay (or whatever lol) dont stay comes out really good too

I tend to disagree I think forgotten comes out good but Easier To Run and Somwhere I Belong just dont come out they should drop SIB but because its a single I guese they wont.

Collarado was bad it was like every song didnt come out right

that's true with brad srewing up in sweet child of mine but rememember one thing slash from gnr was one of the best guitarists in the world and brad it's just at the beggining so it's normal if he screws up

That with Brad screwing up Sweet child o' mine, that's really no wonder, dany rightly pointed out that Slash is one of the all time best guitarists. Plus, the riff of that song was selected the best riff of all times. But it doesn't really matter, I mean they barely covered it, Chaz sang part of the first verse, and that's it.

There are 2 known Mike 'bloopers'. The first is just a snippet, I've never been able to identify the show. The 2nd is from the BBC Radio 1 Show (9/14/2001), he forgot the lyrics to By Myself. :p

Mike also made a mistake in the ITE lyrics on some show they did in Des Moines in 2000 I think.

Exactly. Though one time, I hated RAR04 for about a week because of Chaz saying "You will never get the best of me " during PR04 on Place for My Head instead of "You try to take the best of me" like usual. But then I thought it was unique and loved it because of his insane screaming, standing basically in the crowd :) Chaz really fucking tore it up that show :D

And also a question: On APFMH (RAR04) what does Brad whisper to Mike right before it starts? He says something then like "...during the bridge." Anyone have a clue?

LP did it because they can :P They brought people up during Meteora World Tour to play Faint on guitar, then they brought that German dude up for APFMH. LP does it a lot. Brad was just reminding Mike, or maybe he thought it'd be cool.

Because the concert was in Germany.
Rock Am Ring Festival 2004, Nürnberg, Germany
Nürburgring/Eifel Nürnberg/Zeppelinfeld - same thing basically lol
Rock Im Park is the sister festival to Rock Am Ring, as LP has played there twice as well, but the latest was in 2001 :)
