yeh.....just a random thread but i wanted to know if anyone has met LP or given them a letter. i want to send one to them but have no idea where to send it!!! im not a lpu member.....coz i heard it wasnt worth it.....is it??

I actually haven't met them yet (and in all likelihood prob never will) but I have been an LPU member now for two years and I can tell you it is VERY worth it. Not just for the free merchandise you get but members only access at their site means you get confirmed news, get a chance to chat (on the rare occasion they get online nowadays) and download heaps of cool clips etc. I've been in other clubs and got Jack, if you are a fan of LP then join, I promise you won't be sorry!

i know one friend of mine got the chance to talk with them while she was in usa and she went backstage and talked to the guys and after that she went in the bus with them for 2,3 days i guess
she told me she appears in lp's book but i don't know her last name-i just know that it's laura

Even if I just saw them live, I would scream! I would wait till everyone was clear and they were definately gone. I would have a heart attack! I sent a short e-mail to their fanclub: fanclub@linkinpark.com and I still haven't gotten any response. Not even a 'thanks for e-mailing LP' ...lol. BUT i didn't really need them to reply just to understand that they need to doa tour in South Africa.

Mike's been known to read and post over there from time to time. ;)And if you are LPU members you'd also be aware that the band members themselves, though not an awful lot, do actually read the forum posts over at LPU4. I know because Mike again (under the name mshinoda - if you sign in using a band member's name over @ LPU you're automatically banned) posted a response to a fan's concern that LP were 'selling out' to pressure regarding the jay-z/cc collab a few months back. Like I said, it's rare, but it happens. Be aware also that with millions of fans worldwide and various side projects etc, they don't have the time to respond to fans requests/emails. I wish it weren't the case myself. But you have to respect their privacy and so on... if they have something to say they make a statement and get it out enmasse, it's easier than answering a million different 'Dear (insert fav band members' name here)' emails. It sucks, but that's the price of fame I suppose.

Sending a letter to the above address will only result in information regarding LPU NOT warranting anything like an autograph or anything else from the band themselves, only the representatives or the people that wrk for their official fan club (ie the people we deal with over at their official site). Trust me, check your booklets people (I am as we speak looking at the inside cover of CC right now). Sorry to disappoint you, guys!

yeah,i know it's their fan club
what u should know is that other fan clubs ,for other bands i mean,offer u for a letter that u send to them pics with autographs and a paper of subscription...so that's why i was asking if someone received smth from that adress or if anyone knows anything about it

I've never heard of that before... I was once a member of another fan club and I didn't recieve anything at all, not even a letter of acknowledgement, so after I sent off an abusive letter I pulled the plug on fan clubs... til LPU.
I'm still not even sure you're elligable for anything 'free' from LPU given that they offer 'free' signed pics when you order over I think $150 merchandise at LP.com/merch as an incentive to spend more, so why they'd give away anything for nothing is beyond me. Sorry, I've never heard of it. But good luck with that. If you do manage to get anything let us know. I'd be interested to see how they respond.

well about that -i told u,a maddona fan told me she sent her a letter at her fan-club and she received 2 orriginal pics with her signature on it...so she told me to do the same with linkin park...that's where the story begins...i'll just wait and see....if i get an answer i'll get

I met them all but only talked to Chester and Joe..It was last summer during PR in san antonio TX ..it was like after the show I talked to chester he looked really tired his eyes were like red *dont know why* and Joe was nice
