well for those who mentioned i was late in the response to the numb/encore song there were sure a lot of posts here otherwise and after reading them appearantly there were a few who have yet to hear it... i just happened to hear it for the first time right before i started the tread.

yeah i was wondering about that whole thing with JayZ and his 'so called' retirement. you know.. ever since his annoucement it seems like he's been getting more publicity. Appearantly once a pop icon always a pop icon!
And personally i wasn't really impressed with the collaboration with LP and JayZ. It probably would of been a good idea (because i know how LP is with doing collaborations, and thats all cool) but the two just didn't seem to mesh good together. I personally think they did 100x better with reanimation and the collaborations they did with some of those artists. However i did like the little extra piece that was thrown into the numb/encore song that was sung by chester.

I agree with everyone that LP are great all by themselves, but that doesn't mean they can't do collaborations with other artists. Whenever they come out with a CD it's only LP... no collaborations, because personally I think that's how it is meant to be. All the stuff they do for collaborations don't count (ie. Reanimation and Collision Course) although they're still official albums. Personally, I also think they should do more collaborations with rock/nu-metal artists. Because I've noticed a lot of their music now has a lot of synth and electronica already implanted within their songs (ex. Breaking the Habit), so doing collaborations with hip hop artists doesn't give it enough of what it needs because it sounds too much alike (being that all hip hop is, is a mesh of electronica and synth). I think comparing Hybrid Theory with Meteora, Hybrid Theory had more of that darker vibe due to Brad's guitar riffs and the bass.
