meet and greets

im not an lpu memeber yet
but ive been a fan for around 2-3 years
anyhow for those privileged enough to attend a meet and greet
what is it like? are they really freindly or do they just quickly sign your stuff and the go "next please"

Its really fast. You cant take a flash camera. They act cool, joking around with us and eachother and everything but security pushes you along pretty quick. A quick 'Whats up?', a picture, an autograph, and your outta there. Worth every second.

Meeting bands is completely different each time... And it never gets easier. I always get nervous and forget how to speak.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a few words out if I get to meet LP at the Live 8 concert...

I agree though, when you meet somebody you admire and you've seen them on tv or on posters or whatever, all the words just dissappear and you stand there looking like an idiot just staring o_0 I'd love to have a conversation with them though as well ^.^ They seem like funny guys to talk to and ohhh... I really hope I do meet them some day lol.

I've met more bands than I can probably name. A friend of mine used to work in promotions/marketing for a local radio station so i used to get to meet bands at the station or get backstage passes to shows to meet them.

Uhhh and and... yeah that's what I've been thinking about lately and it's kinda scary. Wow I'll shut up lmfao.

As soon as I'm allowed to use my card online, I'll be up there joining LPU lol. I've been wanting to for awhile and I've got the money ready and stuff. If only I could just send cash straight up >.<

You can technically send cash to sign up for the LPU in the form of a money order if you can't use a credit card. And if you do sign up... You could always use my name as the person who referred you. ;)

He was very cool actually. They'd played a set at the concert as normal and after the show they played a few songs acoustic for some of us...

And don't worry about the teeny-bopper thing. I think my exact words to him consisted of gibberish and nonsense. I was in awe when I met him.

Well, since we're talking about M&G with the band...

I'm planning on attending Live 8 next weekend. Should there be a meet and greet (still a possibility) and I get to attend, I'll be picking something to get signed...

What should I get signed? I've already got all of the albums signed as well as 2 posters. Serveral possibilities include:

Hybrid Theory EP - Possibly get all of the LPU CDs signed eventually.
Posters - I've got 4 large vinyl promotional posters; 1 for HT/Frat Party, 2 for Meteora (Faint and BTH/Projekt Revolution) and 1 for Collision Course.
Meteora World Tour Program
Projekt Revolution 2002 Program
Faint Cards/Stickers (Full Set)

... Among the more interesting ideas I've gotten... It's been suggested that I take 1 each (or all) of the Grey Daze and The Snax CDs and have them signed by Chester and Phi (maybe even Mark Fiore for the Snax CDs).

What do you guys think?
