Careful Measures

Its probably no big deal or whatever but in October I have the chance to see two different shows... Deftones and Ministry. I'm definately a fan of Deftones (of course its probably a good idea to freshen up on their last songs), but I'm not really a big fan of Ministry, although by the end of the concert I might be. The only reason I'm going is because my fiance is a big fan of theres and when any concert rolls around our way we have no choice but to find any means possible to attend.

Anyway it just got me thinking about my last show I was at -- Linkin Park's Meteora World Tour -- and how much fun I had being there, not only because it was Linkin Park but because it was my first time at any show and just being in the pit was just so intense and so much fun I would love to do it again.
Unfortunately the whole catch is... this time I'm 6 months pregnant and I wont be able to be in the pit, not if its anything like last time. So I guess I have to sit this one out and watch from the sidelines so to speak.

But I'm sure I'll have a blast either way.... okay thats all I wanted to say :)

yeah i'm sure its not going to be as much fun as the pit but i'll feel bad if my fiance refuses to leave my side and enjoy his time there.
i remember attending the LP concert and thinking.... it must really suck to have to be stuck way n the back where you can hardly see the stage or stuck with a seat ticket and be stationary most of the time.... but i guess this is my oppertunity to experience all that.

u still feel hyped but i spose not as hyped as u wud in the pit
ppl always say pits r dangerous....if i eva go in a pit i wud just stand there ive neva been in 1 b4 so ppl say i shud go 2 a avril or hillary duff concert so then i wont get squished...but if i die atleast evry one noes i died at a lp concert..

well since the LP show I've been to 3 more concerts - 'Deftones', 'Ministry', & 'Skinny Puppy' - I dont know if you guys have heard Ministry or Skinny Puppy before... i didn't until about a year ago. Anyway... with these last three shows I wasn't nearly as hyped up about the show as I was at LP, I was practically a different person. at these last 3 I dont know why but I felt sick the whole time. I guess it all depends, cuz I didn't care whether or not I was being squished or whatever I was still having fun. but at the Deftones show I was sooo agrivated by everyone I just wanted to leave. I enjoyed just watching the show but the rest was just a bad experience. So i guess it all depends... if you're hyped up enough about the show no matter what happens you'll have fun, otherwise it wont be a fun experience.

lol same its just they think i wud get squished if i went into a band that i like's pit...
so its either britney or avril that i am sposed to go 2 ...but i would rather be stepped on by 100z of ppl then not b and stand through being sick the whole time

well it's not nearly as bad as you might think. some ppl just thrive off all that energy with being pushed around and squashed. you just do the same thing back to them. you just have to be careful. for instance, if you're up front and you start pushing back it's a domino affect, then everyone behind is going to push forward... and trust me its not the smartest thing to do when you have hundreds more ppl behind you pushing your ribs up against the bar rail. but by the end u dont even care....

my little cousin whos 13 wants to go to one, is it recomended to bring him to a LP pit?? I dont want to get him hurt.

yeah it's really hard to tell how the pit is going to turn out. if it ends up being a bad crowd then there's really no need to worry. but the only good advise to give is ... if you're that worried about gettting hurt then just dont go in.
