According to German's Rock Hard magazine:
It's a very postive review.
The album is 45 minutes long.
"Wake" is 01:30 long. ("dark instrumental track")
"Given Up" has raw, heavy riffs.
"Bleed it Out" is one of the fastest tracks on MTM.
"Shadow of the Night" has guitar sound like U2, and the rythym is like Nine Ince Nail's "Closer".
"Valentine's Day" is the slowest track on MTM.
"The Little Things Give You Away" is 06:30 long.
"In Pieces" has a progressive guitar solo.
"In Between" is described as a rather boring song
The rest of the songs is rated from good to very good.
4 ballads, 2 hip-hop tracks and 4 heavy and aggressive tracks; over all the album is poppier and softer but also with rock and progressive sound.
Source: lptimes.com
So 4 heavy/aggresive tracks, eih? sounds good!
Conclusion: it's going to be longer than previous albums :)

Shadow Of The Day 4.50 min? It's long too, nice
Bleed It Out only 2.54?Too short man..

45 minutes is almost perfect...if we add the 2 iTunes bonus tracks we will have over 50 minutes...which is pretty cool

One of the ITunes bonus tracks has been confirmed to be the same name of the album, "Minutes To Midnight". It will be the only bonus track of the two that you can get when you pre-order the album from ITunes.
The other has yet to be named.

from that one french site that had the interview with Rob/Chaz about the CD, I translated it to English but it's so rough I'm not gonna post it (remember a LOT is lost in translation unfortunately).
here's some stuff I got from it:
-Wake is a track that required almost no work from Rick Rubin...the band did it all together, which is something they've never done before (I guess they meant they all sat down and wrote it at the same time, which is something LP never does).
-Given Up had several demo titles 'What the fuck is wrong with me', 'Given Up' and 'Wake'. Wake is the first word you hear in this track. Chester didn't want to name it Wake though.
-Leave Out All the Rest - Mike wrote the melody, it has nice arrangements (probably violins, etc), is very poppish and Chester says the fans will love this song
-Bleed It Out: weird info on this one: Rob said that since this is such a heavy song, Rick had an idea to play it in the studio and have members of LPs staff and entourage (makeup folks, photographers and security/bodyguards) come into the studio and then record all of them rocking out to the song. LOL I wonder if this is in LPTV :P Rob said they did this at the very end of recording and was a great celebration of their 'accomplished work'. Chester says the song has a 'punk side Rock N Roll' while also having a 'fuck attitude'.
Shadow of the Day: Chester says it's just like a normal Linkin Park song (intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus) with Mike rapping and Chester doing the verses. He says it has the exact same structure as the old Linkin Park songs but the way "in which we presented it is very different"
What I've Done: Rob says Joe created the first demo of the song and Mike and Chester developed the concept of the lyrics (isn't that what they always do? :P). It is the last song they wrote and recorded. They had finished the entire CD at Rick's studio in Laurel Canyon but they felt that they were missing a critical piece of the album. So then they returned to NRG Studios (Where Meteora/Hybrid Theory were recorded) and very easily created this song and finished it within two days.
Hands Held High: Rob says it's a very soft song. I can't really tell what Rob is saying, "Before Mike does not pose above, we had soft and mélodieuses lines of song at the head. Rick on the contrary suggested leaving on something diametrically opposite to the instru. He thus asked him rapper above all length and the result is excellent! " I have no idea what that means :P
No More Sorrow: Chester says the guitar is very heavy. There is a unique sample on this track. The ventilation system in the studio broke for a while, so Chester decided to take his lighter and light it up inside, producing weird sounds with the metal blades. Mike thought it was really cool, so he recorded them with an amp and the samples found their way throughout the entire song.
Valentines Day: Chester says this song is far from being a "merry" song. People who have lost someone in their lives will recognize themselves in the lyrics. The words express how small things in your life later have importance.
In Between: Chester says Mike composed a piece of this song on violin and cello at the beginning of the writing sessions. Chester knew he could sing the song well and have a good result, but then they all decided to let Mike sing it. In the end of the song Chester helps with one of the harmonies. Rick wanted them to try something along the lines of Simon and Garfunkel or Lennon and McCartney. They worked hard to make sure the song didn't sound to poppish, and the final result is what you'll see on the album.
In Pieces: This is one of the very first songs they wrote. It's one of Chester's favorite songs they've ever written. He thinks it's evil to think that it was written by the same people that wrote Hybrid Theory (lol?). He says it's an achievement of what they want to do and where they want to go in the future.
The Little Things Give You Away: Rob says it's one of their favorite songs on the CD (of course). It's very different from what they have done in the past. Rob composed part of the chords and composed the piano parts, then trusted Mike to write the acoustic guitar pieces before passing it on to the rest of the band to finish.
And there you go. That's it :)

thanks, that's awesome. btw, you can see more details including the length of the tracks here: http://www.linkinpark77.info/v5/mtm.php
length: 43:17
that's not much longer than the other ones...isn't HT like 37 mins?
nice...they used a xylophone
The best albums.... are often around 40mins long anything longer tends to drag
why the fuck always the length-phobia...it's about the music they make, not about how many mins and seconds it is. if a song is good, it's good, whether it's 30 secs or half an hour...
Shadow of the Day: Chester says it's just like a normal Linkin Park song (intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus) with Mike rapping and Chester doing the verses. He says it has the exact same structure as the old Linkin Park songs but the way "in which we presented it is very different"
so we're gonna get different structures than just the normal boring shit that all popular music has? fuckin nice
What I've Done: Rob says Joe created the first demo of the song and Mike and Chester developed the concept of the lyrics (isn't that what they always do? :P). It is the last song they wrote and recorded. They had finished the entire CD at Rick's studio in Laurel Canyon but they felt that they were missing a critical piece of the album. so Joe's behind WID...somehow didn't expect that from him lol
I think that weird part might be about different melodies not matching in rhythm, making the song kinda anti-rhythmatic or something...and above that, mike rapping along with it
it'll be interesting to see

Wow you think? lol
anyway what the fuck is with this dam 40 minutish bull shit can't they make a damn album atleast an hour long wtf is with these damn 3:30 songs
the 40 minutes would be okay if we got more than one album every 4 years

I think the length will be okay. I could go both ways with it. I can see why it would drag, but then really, more is better. So I definitely see both sides. I'm not gonna argue though, Whatever LP says is great with me. I have faith they know what their doing.

Every time i read something about the album i'm looking forward to it more and more
And i'm really getting more interested in 'In Between', i really want to hear Mike sing!
And about Valentine's Day being the slowest song on the album, it has a very good message, so i think it will be great:)

awesome, thanks for translating hahn
the 43 min album is way to short after 4 yrs imo, i wouldve expected at least 50, but with the 2 bonus tracks, as 1 is confirmed a studio song now and not live, the other one also better be and that would be much better
the track descriptions seem cool, can't wait to hear it

yeah, I hope that's the case with LP. they've never done that before lol. the only track they've ever released as a true b-side to an album that wasn't released anywhere else was the High Voltage remix.
