LP Fansites finally being punished

Expect punishment to be dealt to Linkin-Inside, LPRussia and LinkinParkBR soon. Warner's legal team finally took notice when Jon and I contacted MSR and WBR about them hosting a bunch of illegal crap. ^_^

LPRussia.com is hosting the "The Rising Tied" Instrumental Album, which has not been released and is illegal to host. the only fansite allowed to host any of them is LPAssociation.com, which hosted the 4 singles with permission of Machine Shop.

linkinparkbr.com also has the Instrumentals as well as Where'd You Joe, the FMM only WYG remix by Joe Hahn.

linkin-inside.com is hosting The Rising Tied official album mp3s, the Numb/Encore single CD, the Believe Me single, the RTN/Petrified radio promo, the Fort Minor Street Team Mixtape, the Collision Course DVD audio, four Jay-Z songs, a Deftones song, two Nine Inch Nails song, all of the Fort Minor and Linkin Park music videos, Multimedia bonus packs of Linkin Park CDs and DVDs, and the DVD rip of Collison Course.

linkin-photo.com is hosting the TRT Instrumental Album, All fort minor CDs and mixtapes, and FM music videos.

they made it simply on the fact so many ppl relied on this site for mp3s and shit that they didn see the ideals in ratting out the sites until hahninator came along.
but really, those sites have the best live audio and video bootlegs around, barely any other fansites can boast the giggs in live vid and live audio...be a shame if they were COMPLETELY shut down, maybe a fine and the deletion of OFFICIAL material only ^^
in any case, LPA doesnt even HOST mp3's anymore, and lptimes has a truckload of vids, buh theyre VIDEOS...so u know...who will be to post bootleg concerts now?
there are ALOT of stingy ppl who wont share concerts with the majority of ppl and that pisses me off >:(

They have been warned before and they choose to ignore. Instead of getting rid of official stuff and just hosting bootlegs and that, they didnt, so yeh.

Agreed, I don't see why so many people hate that site. Most of the people who talk bad about it have most likely downloaded from it themselves. The point is that they've been asked multiple times to remove the official material. It took a concentrated effort from several LPU members and LPU admin to have linkin-inside remove the LPU CDs. The thing of it is, they have almost as much official stuff as they do non-official... And they've done nothing to rectify the situatuation, knowing they host official material.

Not only does he have the right to report these sites, we all do. As fans, we should all be reporting these sites who distribute unauthorized copies of CDs/DVDs that are supposed to be purchased.

It might be your music, but as soon as you sign that record deal... it might not be. Depends on the agreement signed. Labels usually own the copyright to any works done by a performer as well as the master recordings said works are produced from (unless the contract is for distribution only, then a 3rd party such as the artist, producer, etc. owns the rights to the recordings).

So... Mike can and has told us to 'download that shit'... Doesn't mean we're actually allowed to in the label's eyes.

That's the beauty of that one. WB holds no rights to it and cannot stop it's distribution because it was released independently prior to LP signing with WB. It's the same reason LP (or the LPU) cannot sell copies of it, but they can be given away as prizes for things such as the LPU's referral program.

Same goes for any recordings like that - any of the songs from the Xero tape, 2 track demo CD, 2 track demo tape, etc. - WB has no rights over and can be distributed freely, which is why I was able to offer the 'Demos' torrent on DIME and TTD.

The music videos? I'm fine with any of them except the following:

Any Hybrid Theory video as they appear officially on Frat Party (includes the in studio video of Esaul).

The 3 Reanimation videos as they appear on the Reanimation DVD-A

Either version of Breaking the Habit (normal or Kimo Proudfoot) as they're available on the BTH DVD.

The Director's Cut of Faint, as it was released on Mark Romanek's DVD last year.

So, that leaves... FTI, SiB, Numb, Faint and Numb/Encore.


As far as not being able to find some items... It's hard to find some of them in stores; as a collector, I know this. Doesn't make it acceptable to download them, no matter the reason.

I mean I used to go to Linkin Inside to get the ocasional song or two becuase my meteora CD broke and i used the site as a substitute. I mean it's hard to get the BTH dvd I saw it by chance same with the frat party, obviously i dont agree with hosting the dvd film itself but the videos shouldnt really matter.

I guess it all comes down to the fact that what the hell is the point of snitching? You act like Warner Brothers care and are going to give you a badge of honor for turing this dudes that they probably already know about in.

ok thats not really the total point i was trying to make before, to me one of the greatest feelings is when i help person 1 with something, or anything like that then person 1 hangs out with person 2, then i hang out with person 2 and they say something like "hey, i heard you helped person 1 by doing such and such" when you hear that i really seems like it meant a lot to the person if they relayed it on.

jake they are illegal and dont need to be there so I was trying to get them removed >_< if you cant go to a store and get them, order them online. thats why we have ebay and online stores. im not sure if bootlegs are legal or not, but since I collect them I won't say anything about them. all the album stuff has to go though.

i just typed out a big explination, then deleted it for i don't need to start an online fight with people i will never meet in my life lol, and just say that you might just have a bit of a more laid back personality. idk what it is with me and personalities but i'm pretty good at making a decent judgement on how people are by what they say and their actions.. idk how old mark is, but if you're 4 years older than him then we're probably pretty close in age, i'm 21 and have met a lot of people in life to spot the good ones lol

I was attempting to NOT listen to the tracks until 11.22, and lasted until about 11.18, when Vash, UM0 and I heard Kenji. Then I downloaded the rest from the MTV Leak rips and threw them on my iPod. I bought the album on 11.22, just like I said I would. I never tried uploading all the songs here. All I did was rip RTN, Petrified and Believe Me from the players months before the album came out and put them up for download here.

everything that is on the fan sites are FROM the fans to OTHER fans.
generally its for fans hu cannot afford a copy of the cd/dvd. just bcoz its down at ur local store doesnt mean u can jus pop in and take a copy. and lets not forget also WBR doesnt ship to every crevice of our world. these sites were havens for those hu cood not afford/reach the official gear.
